What does the Menni logo mean?
The Menni logo was designed by Einar Gylfason. Einar graduated from the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts in 1991 and has worked as a designer and art director in Iceland and the United States. He has worked at small and large advertising agencies, and since 2010 he has run Leynivopnið, a design studio focused on corporate identity and branding.
Asked what the logo means, Einar says (translated from Icelandic):
"The logo is drawn as quotation marks, arranged so that they form the letter M. The idea is communication, both spoken and written. The quotation marks also refer to Menni's products, Spjallmenni, Raddmenni and Póstmenni, where in each sub-brand the quotation marks allude to the initials S, R and P."
