Going live
Six steps, then a short checklist to confirm everything works.
Deploy the change. Nothing needs switching on at our end first. Your widget ID is active from the moment you receive it.
Open your site in a private browsing window, which avoids showing you a cached copy of the old page.
Confirm the launcher appears in the corner you chose, on more than one page.
Ask a question that needs your own content, such as your opening hours or the price of something you sell.
If you use a booking or e-commerce integration, ask something that depends on it, such as availability this week. This confirms the connection is resolving on our side.
Remove the old values listed under Widget ID, then deploy once more.
You are done when
- The launcher appears on every page of the site
- The assistant answers a question about your own content correctly
- Any booking or product integration returns real, current information
- Your browser console shows no errors from the assistant
- Your security scanner reports nothing against the new code
